Interesting topic!! I wish I had my camera on hand more often, as their sad eyes come and go with a blink. ;)

Well those two almost had me in tears :(

Not for the contest because she's not a Cav, but Shiloh my lab, has the saddest eyes EVER! She is the only dog that can look worried and happy at the same time! lol!

Here's Pixie a few days after her patella surgery last year...at that point, she was feeling better, quite unhappy to be crated, and really frustrated with wearing an e-collar.

Merlin, don't go and live with Auntie Alison, come and live with me - I desperately need a black and tan so you'll be more than welcome AND we've got 7 beds between 2 dogs! Amazing how they both prefer the sofa or my bed though.....

I just had to submit the picture of Honey, our cavalier rescue that just came to our house. While she is only here temporarily, I hope that still counts. Going to turn those sad eyes to happy eyes! Honey is the one sitting behind the other rescue (Sergio).

Oh isn't that lovely, all those puddy tats being nice to a puppy :D I remember taking a very young Maxx to stay with my hubby's brother and sis in law. Her 4 cats & 2 dogs all ganged up on him - I think it was because he was much better looking and far more desireable than all of them put together :lol: :lol: :lol:

This is a great theme, great photos. sorry i didn't know about it til now, (thursday night), i didn't see it announced on the general forum. however, there are plenty enough photos to choose from. I would still like to add a picture of Zack, not to compete but just to share in the spirit of the theme. i love any excuse to share a photo of the boy. :D this one isn't so much sad as "boy am i in trouble now." but it's kind of sad.

oh those are such sad sad eyes. makes me want to cry...what a little sarah bernhardt (sp?)--thanks for sharing. the competition is fun but 90% of the fun is seeing the doggie pictures. Themes is a wonderful idea. i hope people can keep thinking of more.
