congratulations on the new arrival! he looks delicious. what a little puff ball, with an impish face. love the one in the purse. enjoy!! :flwr:

What a doll baby but is that "attitude" shining in his little eyes? I think you may have a spunky one on your hands. Does he still smell like "puppy"?

Congratulations!! He's beautiful :luv:

I'm glad it worked out the way you hoped

Thanks for all your messages. Hmmm...he's the one with the least attitude out of the whole litter but we'll see! He was the puppy who cuddles most. He's ten weeks old and having his 1st injections this week so i guess the earliest I can have him is 2 weeks but my son is being baptised on 2nd December which will be in London all day so I asked if I could have him after that. I can't leave him all day when he's so little and new to my home. I'm quite happy to let him stay with all his brothers and sister till his injections are working so he gets to be with lots of dogs and people and not have that gap where they have to be carried if out and about till the jabs work. Is this a good idea?

Dylan is such a sweetheart!! :) I love his little face. If it were me bringing him home and I were in the same situation, I would definately ask the breeder to hold onto him that extra little time if she was willing to do so. :) Glad you picked him! :) Thanks for the pictures! :)

It will be great for him to stay on a bit longer -- they always benefit from being with their sibs and mother a bit longer, as long as they are also socialising with people too! :) He's adorable; what fun you will have!

I agree with Sandy, they need the socialisation. My breeder usually takes her pups away from the Mums for feeding purposes around 7-8 weeks but they stay in a puppy pen in her huge lounge where all the other dogs & people are. They get let out for socialization a few times a day and all her dogs are wonderful with puppies. Maxx was so wonderful with other dogs right from the word go as he was so well socialized :flwr:

I do think you're doing the right thing by leaving him a bit longer Pauline, get him home when things have calmed down a bit :D

This is the puppy out of the two that you wanted? He's absolutely gorgeous :flwr:

They get a little time with other dogs as dogs are taken through the dining room where they are to be groomed and the mum with younger pups in the "nursery" is taken through the dining room to the loo. I'll ask, maybe they do get play time. They get a lot of people socialisation. I'm worried now. I do plan to go to puppy classes to socialise too.

Oh definitely stay him stay a little longer. Shelby was so much better socialized than Jake and I brought her home at 12 weeks instead of 10. We did puppy kindergarten. It was great for socialization.

Congrats on your new baby. I agree it wont do him any harm staying a few more weeks. I have had dogs at 8 weeks and younger and 10 weeks and older. I find the older ones are more settled and seem to be able to cope with change much more readily than the younger ones. Also I find them more sociable and understand more of the dog etticut, if aloud to play with the breeders older dogs. And I find toilet training much easier when they are older.
