Hi Casshon - would a beautiful cav you have, how old is she? :)
16th November 2006, 03:44 PM
She is 12 years old so she is a golden oldie! The sweetest dog you could meet (as are all cavaliers!)
Your three are beauties also.

This is Honey and her mother Cassie (who passed away this summer) after a bath. Honey really misses her so we are on the look out for a cavalier friend for her. :flwr:

Hi and WElcome! I love the oldies and Honey is just so sweet and adorable looking. Gives me hope that I will have my babies for a long time. I love the picture of Honey and her mom Cassie. So sorry that you lost her. My Duffy is going on 7 and is the angel of my life. We are hoping to be able to foster rescues and the oldies are my first choice.

We just collected our 2 new beautiful girls last night (thanks Karlin ;))
Molly and Bella are beautiful - very friendly and outgoing. We have forgotten what it is like to have a young dog in the house with Honey being 12 years old.
Honey seems to have taken to them well. There is a little bit of jealousy but that is to be expected. On the whole she has been very good with them.
Some basic obedience, lead and house training are needed but nothing we can’t handle!
We are so delighted with our girls, they are so much fun!
I will post some pictures this weekend….if I can get them to sit still for long enough
24th November 2006, 01:40 PM
Thats great news - have a good weekend with them, looking forward to the pictures. :D
24th November 2006, 03:24 PM
That's wonderful! You must be having a ball with 3 dogs. I'm jealous too! It's so nice that Honey will have some companions.
Look forward to seeing some pics.

Molly & Bella are settling in wonderfully and as you can see from the pics Honey is getting on very well with her new friends (she's loving the extra body heat on these cold winter days )

I love looking at all the great pictures on this site, some of the Christmas ones are absolute beautiful :flwr: It makes me wish I were a better photographer - I took some pictures tonight 2 of which are below. They were the best out of the bunch cause the dogs think when I'm down on the floor with them that they can jump all over me and lick the camera lens
Anyway the dogs are really settling in beautifully - all 3 are snoring here beside me at the computer

Hi to honey she does not look that old.Hi to you were down south.
8th December 2006, 09:41 AM
Hi there, welcome on the site! Your honey really looks stunning even if she is 12 years old. I am glad to hear that cavaliers can get old too...so i can have my Spottie with me for lots of years to come!
Taking photo's is indeed not easy, i have the same problem. Spottie allways walks away, looks the other side or plays with me.
Last night i wanted to take a X-mas picture...i didn't work of course..but i'am not giving up...wil try again!
Nice to meet you!

Flossie-Spottie, yes cavaliers can live a long time. We lost a dog during the summer - Cassie, she was 14.5 years old. Luckily she had no major health problems throughout her life. Honey on the other hand has had a fair few problem - she had pyometra at around 3 yrs old and had to have an emergency hysterectomy, then she developed bladder stones and had an operation to remove them and then she tore her cruciate ligament and had it replaced so we are very lucky that she is still with us.
Cavaliers are prone to certain to certain health problem but if you are aware of the symptoms and give them lots of TLC you could be as lucky as us and have Spottie in your life for many years to come :flwr:
Hi to honey she does not look that old
Honey does look great for her age although she is greying around her eyes now. The new dogs have brought her back to her puppy years in some ways. She has been enjoying eating her "chewies" which she hasn't done since puppyhood!
I will try to get some more photos - maybe I'll have more luck next time!
