Here's Max again - please wish him luck for tomorrow!

Hi there

Thanks for all your very kind comments about our 12 year old Max.

As I've mentioned, he's had acute reoccuring anal gland problems - so tomorrow he's having them removed.

We've weighed up the risks and potential benefit for him and it's the best way forward.

Should be about an hour op - the vet is very aware of his mild heart condition - and of course the fact that he's an 'old boy' - so fingers crossed.

I'll be picking him up Tuesday evening UK time.

So stand by for news.

This pic was taken last Friday as he enjoyed the winter sun streaming through the window. He rather likes doing that. The wise old chap!

Thanks again for the comments.

Cheers
Brian

:flwr:

Oh Max ((((((hugs))))))) hope you're all better after this surgery.

Brian please let us know how he does.

Lots of love from Tucker and me.

Oh he is such a beautiful boy. Prayers coming your way that everything will work out just fine.

Lots of good thoughts for Max.

It's absolutely pointless to say don't worry, but modern specialised anaesthetics are very good. Vets can reverse them very quickly, if needs be.

Best of luck for tomorrow Max will be thinking of you :xfngr:

you most certainly are a very gorgeous boy

he looks strong and robust, and beautiful. sorry he's been having those old anal gland problems. good luck tomorrow and during the recovery, hoping things will be better for him from now on.

What a delicious old BT man. (cripes, sounds like the phone..)

Hoping everything goes well...

He's OK!

Hi there

Max came through OK.

The vet said the operation went as planned and there was no complication from Max's heart.

He came home last night - still wobbly from the anaesthetic - and scoffed a meal!

He's obviuosly quite sore but he's doing very well.

I'll keep you updated and thanks again for all the good wishes.

Cheers
Brian
