Opinions on Buddy-Belts????

My daughter just came home with one of these .... Buddy-Belts dot com

It's made of rather strong leather, she says it'll soften and stretch but I'm not sure I like it.

Has anyone used one on a Cavalier??

Has anyone ever seen one like this??
