I'm delighted to say that, subject to home-check, Charlie has found a lovely new home. :)

Many of you will remember Charlie (he was previously called Max) was a poundie on death row in Ireland.

Charlie is a Cavi/Springer cross and is a beauty. His foster mum has worked wonders with him, as he didn't have a good start to life at all, and he brought some baggage with him.

Many thanks to everyone at Cavalier Talk for their very kind contributions to NESSR to help pay for Charlie's transport. Also thanks to everyone else on this board who helped in so many ways.

I'm in tears here. So very many people helped Charlie to safety and it looks like there's a happen end to his story.

It was NESSR's first rescue from Ireland and we have learned some valuable lessons. We are sure Charlie won't be our last Irish rescue, as we will always help a spaniel (in fact other dogs too!) in dire need.

What great news -- congrats to the many folks here who helped get this dog out of the pound and to safety. Not only did Charlie find a new home -- hooray! -- but because people here supported his transport and homing, a second dog made it out and into rescue as well that was scheduled to be put down. Two dogs alive ***directly*** due to the response from here -- and now we will all have a practiced system in place for any future rescues. :flwr:

Stellar work, I'm really proud so many came together to make this work.

:wggle: :w**h**: Hurray!!! Can we get new pics of Charlie? He looked so sad and scared in the pound pictures. I want to have an image of him joyful and content in my brain to match what I feel for him!!! Congratulations little man!!! :D :D
