How do I make Maddie's pictures smaller?

open the Paint application from your programmes menu. It should be under Accessories. Open the picture using the File - Open options in your menu bar. Click on "image" then "stretch/skew". This will bring up a box where you can change the size of the image by a chosen percentage. Change the values in the stretch boxes (horizontal and vertical). For example, to reduce the picture to half its original size put 50 in each box. Click "ok" then "file" and choose "Save" to replace the original picture or "save as" to save a new copy. If you choose "save as" be sure and change the file name

hope this helps - it's a lot simpler than it looks.

good luck :xfngr:

Another method is via Microsoft Office 2003. It includes a fantastic little photo viewer and editor that for some reason known only to them they often file under 'Office Tools' or something. It is called Picture Manager I think, and may well open automatically when you click a picture file.

One of the options is resize and you can choose from either a list of predetermined sizes, customise, or simply say whether you want the pic to be say, 50% the size of the original. If you remember to rename the edited version you can keep the original too.
