a safe doubler lead so that I can connect two dogs to one lead for walking???
I'm looking for something that gives them enough room to move along at their own pace and also has swivel connections.
They will be wearing their Puppia harnesses so I want to link them together - am I making any sense here

I have the Sporn Double Dog Leash and it is wonderful. I use it when I'm babysitting various furbabies and it adjusts for any height dog. I bought mine at Pet Smart but they don't have it on their website right now. Anyway...it's totally adjustable and here's one website that has it: http://www.mightypets.com/product.asp?3=906

You can also get just the coupler part if you want to use your own lead: http://www.mightypets.com/product.asp?3=907

I'm sure you can find it on a UK website so shipping is cheaper.

about the 2-dog leashes - arent they a little heavy for these breeds. I have been looking for one too as I have 2 5 mo puppies, and the metal clasp just looks so heavy.
Any thoughts?

I really like the Pet Walker Plus. You can't tell by the picture but it has a lot more lead than what it shows. Candle and Ally have plenty of room to explore on their own and they never get tangled (me either!) because of the swivel mechanism. Here's a link for JB Wholesale but I think you can google it find it other places also. I attach it to their harnesses also.

Any thoughts? They are a bit heavy for little tiny pups, but I think they'll be fine at 5 months. Besides, in just another few months your furbabies will be closer to their full size!

There are some good links here - I posted about this a few months ago after a close call ...

I got the leather one with the swivel at jbpet.com and it works GREAT.

Hi Claire ,
congratulations , delighted that Cara is going back to you. That little face captured my heart also . I have a chain that links our 2 together , its called a coupler . I use it to link 2 Puppias together so i can use 1 lead when we go out . I had no problems getting them used to it , walking together comes naturally . Our Vet in Kilkenny got one for us , I can check if they have any more and pm you .I'll be in Dublin on monday so if they do I could drop it somewhere for you .

The leather one at pet bliss looks pretty good -- but you'd need a lead that has a swivel clasp at the end, ideally. Two don't get that tangled though even on a ring rather than a swivel -- a lot easier than three!

Thanks for all the info folks. I bought a chain coupler today in Petstop just to keep me going until I can get a proper safe one. I don't like the look of it at all and the chains are very short but that's all I could find.
I'll do some research on it tomorrow.

I have the one Jackie is talking about and absolutely love it. I can't tell you how many contraptions I went through before finding this one. On the others the separate leads weren't long each and Shelby ended up pulling on Jake or the buckles were HUGE. The petwalker is super!

I've just ordered the pet walker plus in medium from Arcata Pet cause they ship to Ireland and it was cheaper than JB .
