View Full Version : We're Home!!!

Princess Ellie Rebecca is home!!! My husband and I had a hell of a trip but we're back with our precious Ellie!! We left NJ at 3:45 PM Friday and we didnt get to our breeder's house till 11:45 PM :yikes 8 hours in the car :drivecar: can you believe it!!! We hit so much traffic and I felt so bad for my breeder having to stay up and wait for us. When we got there we all went straight to bed so I didnt see Ellie at all on Friday as she was already in her crate for the night. This morning I got up at 8:30 to shower and get dressed when I heard a scratching on the door. I opened the door and 2 Cavaliers were there to say good morning! :D One of them was Ellie's mommy!!! We all got ready and we got to see all the dogs and play with them before the 4 humans headed out for breakfast. After breakfast we came back and my breeder showed us how she trimmed their excess paw hair and cut their nails. We went over the food and we got a bag full of goodies to take home with us. We packed up our stuff and hit the road. Miss Ellie was wonderful the entire trip sitting in my arms. My breeder showed us a much quicker route home thank goodness. She was so good sitting there, and at times sleeping. At at rest stop we tried out her Puppia and it was great. Since she is from VA she has never sen snow and she was so throughly confused and excited about it all at once! We are home now and she and the cats are doing well. Dexter as expected is the most tolerant and curious and has even touched noses with her a few times before running away. Griffin and Hunter are a bit wary but no big incidents which is good. Right now she and my husband are curled up on the couch watching TV

And here are the long awaited pictures!

The lil princess

What a fantastic set of pics; I am sure we all enjoyed those almost as much as the happy story of getting Ellie at last. :) Beautiful dogs and how nice to be woken by cavaliers at the door... the next step of course is being woken by cavaliers in the bed. Or in my case I usually have to wake them, as they are not interested in getting up til they hear the fridge door open downstairs.
