Carriers/totes

We are planning a trip for spring break with the girls. I am hoping to find some very affordable totes for the puppies to use to keep them with us on our trip. I have seen many owners with their babies in totes that look like purses in restaurants, stores and other places that I imagine do not allow pets, but since they are in disguise, they arent even noticed (well, except by people like me that would like to do the same thing). I am going for a concealed purse-like bag that will not draw any attention.
There are many on ebay that are in my price range, and are supposed to accomodate dogs around 15 lbs, but they seem very small (15X8X10) - some a little smaller and some a little bigger. Does this size really accomodate a CKCS? Are they content to lie in them for several hours at a time (with potty breaks of course) My girls are about 9 and 10 lbs and will be around 12-13 lbs full grown.
Can you guys measure the ones you use for similar purposes and tell me if they will would work for this purpose. I know there are nice ones like Celltei, Petfly and Sherpa, but I am just not forking out that kind of money for something I dont know that we will use in frequently.

Are you planning on flying or driving? If you're flying you'll have to get something that closes on both sides and the dogs have no chance of escaping with.

I think cavaliers are pretty much the MAX carry on dimension size. I have a medium celltei pet on the go and Kosmo has a hard time fitting in it. I am not sure if I would even stick him in it for 5 hrs and he's 14lbs. :flwr:

we are traveling in my parents coach. I just wanted to take them into town with us, in the shops, stuff like that.
I was hoping if I could find something inconspicuous, no one would notice.

They seem very small....some even state they are for kittens or Yorkies.

i have a large celltei which is too big for Padden now but will be perfect when she's full grown. I think she's around 8-9lbs now. We have the sport backpack-o-pet and its comfortable to wear on your back and there's a hole where she can poke her head out of and she loves it! They aren't too flashy so they shouldn't draw too much attention unless of course they have their heads out and I think you'll have entire stores wanting to see them!
