View Full Version : Summer fun (just for you northern hemisphere folks!)

It seems like I'm the only one complaining about the heat on here! Last week we hit 36 degrees celsius (96.8 F) a couple of times and Ollie needed a way to cool off. So we headed down to the dam, about a 10-15 minute walk, and I brought the camera along..

We met quite a few dogs aswell but I was too embarassed to start snapping photos of them ;)

Before we left:

(I pulled on the puppia a bit to get Ollie to look at the camera so it looks a bit looser then normal)

This is a bit out of context but I thought this picture would be an indication of how much Ollie has grown. He was about 9 or 10 weeks old in this picture

Anyway.. back to the dam photos

A couple at home yesterday, just to show how his coat is developing :p

And if you could possibly think there is more, there is! Just a couple I left out so if you want to see them then click here:

I love all of these - especially of him jumping and the new feathering on his legs. He has just a unique look - just adorable.

Something about those cute puppy tongues!

Ollie's legs are so pretty!! Obviously someone brushes him pretty often.

I can't believe you made that dog drink that nasty water!! Shame on you.(I only say that because I think mine would dehydrate if they had to drink that!)

Thanks for sharing. Maybe we can head to Manley Dam one day together!

It gets pretty hot here, too, kiddo. Not quite 98F, but Saturday it was 85F, which is pretty warm!

I can't believe you made that dog drink that nasty water!!

He hasn't died/gotten sick yet icon_whistling And the dam is checked regularly for chemicals and pollution and at the moment is safe for humans to swim in.

Thanks everyone, me and Ollie aim to please ;) :flwr:

Hi Em,

It looks like you and Ollie had a great time at Manly Dam. These pictures are fantastic as are the ones in your facebook photo album. I especially like the action pictures with Ollie running. He's got a look of the rascal about him.

Emily - you are giving Ollie such a wonderful life. I love looking at your pictures.

Emily, Ollie is about the happiest looking pup I have ever seen! I love seeing pictures of the sweet cutie running free and smiling. You are a great photographer. Please continue to put up fun pictures of him. I ordered the blue puppia for my blenheim Duffy when I saw how good that color looked on Ollie!

They are magnificent photos Cavalicious. What camera are you using. And Ollie is such a sweetheart :lotsaluv:

Thankyou everyone! :flwr: :flwr: :flwr:

Molly, thats great that Duffy gets a present because of the photos! I'm sure he'll look great in it :)

Thanks Caraline, I'm using a sony cybershot, which is actually about 5 or 6 years old. The shots come out best when I'm holding the camera really still, but I would love something like a Nikon D70! Just look what they can do:

Well you've got a nice eye & a good steady hand. You'd probably be awesome with a 10 megapixel ;)
