The trials of having socialised a puppy in deep-winter, only to find that he's terrified... of summer Or kindof...
Sammy is at this moment sitting trembling in the back of my sauna (the furthest, darkest place in my apartment) because he met a tiny blue-bottle fly while on the balcony that followed him into the living room, to his extreme anguish.
He was always a scaredy-cat with new things as a puppy, but I did my utmost to socialise him, so he's actually very out-going with most things now. But that was during -20oC. Now he's nine months, it's +25oC, and he has a fly-phobia I shouldn't laugh. But it was crazy to see him run around the flat in fear of a tiny fly. It brings new meaning to 'wouldn't hurt a fly', which everyone has been saying about him because he's so nice and soft natured. He wouldn't hurt the fly, but he's sure scared that it'll hurt him.
On another note, what on earth do I do to get him out of the sauna, since the blue-bottle is probably still somewhere in the flat. He wags his tail when I go to him, but he's still shaking and refusing to budge.
