So I'm trying to pick a basic obediance class for Maverick... these are my options

Private place
$140 for 8 weeks

Another private place ( I have a $10 off coupon too)
$150 for 8-9 weeks no openings Till January

Petco
$99.95 for 6 weeks starting next in Nov

Now I'm not sure what to pick. They all seem to come out to the same amount of money and there are all about 1/2 an hour from home... there is one more place that is closer but I'd have to call again for a price and start date... hurm

Hi Melissa

Have you checked to see if there is a local dog club in your area? Here in Australia most areas have one and they tend to run classes at the local showgrounds. Because they are non profit, they are quite inexpensive, but very good & loads of fun.

We only pay $2 per class. Ours start with Baby Puppy, and 8 weeks Beginner Obedience and then classes progress through Class 1 to Class 4. After that we can specialise in things like agility, fly ball, zip ball, scent tracking. The classes get more & more dificult as you advance and where Beginner Obedience generally takes 8 weeks, the next levels up take much longer to go through.

I would ask if you could observe a class or session at each of the places and then see who's training method you like and could work with.
