About Breeders:
Mine has been so awesome with me, esp since i keep bailing on her to go visit Milano (not my choice im literally in the office 12 hours a day!, the Real Estate market is crazy!) and ive had to push back the pick up date due to work (Gah not looking good right now!)
She probably thinks im a workaholic ( )because everytime she calls im never available to talk. Im starting to hate real estate!!
so my question is:
is it appropriate to get her a small gift AND/OR is the norm to pay for "boarding" for the extra time he will be there?
Also he will be there around the time he gets his 2nd round of shots, so does she do that, or shuold i get her to take him to her vet since he is still with her?

I'm doing that right now for one of my puppy people and wouldn't expect extra money for either. After all, sometimes we don't place puppies at exactly the min age and take care of their needs until they are placed. I did have someone bring me a little present when they came to see them, a little bath /soap package and it still makes me smile.

Thanks Nancy

I dont think she would either, i just feel bad i dont want her to think im a) blowing her off or b) i work too much to have a dog!!

its just everything is taking off right now!!

ill keep the gift in mind!

I brought my breeder a little basket of stuff with both Jake and Shelby. I put in some treats, some toys and a Cavalier mug with some coffee. I just wanted her to know how much I appreciated how well she was socialising and raising my soon-to-be babies. She kept Shelby until 12 weeks for me because I was back east for Christmas. We have a great relationship!

Dylan was with his breeder for a bit longer as I had a couple of big commitments, really I'm sure she didn't mind. When my friends car broke down on the day we were going to collect him, she drove him to me, it's an hours drive away. If the vaccines are due, I'd remind her and ask if you are to pay her for this. Don't worry :)
