The American Kennel Club has made February the Stop Canine Obesity Month. Here is a link to information and their program:

In our house, the dogs do not need an obesity month, but the humans do!!!

Same in our house Phyllis. I blame my weight gain on my underactive thyroid - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

Great link. Now....can you direct me to one for me!!?? Just yesterday I pureed a bunch of fruits and veggies to supplement the pups meals in an effort to get a little weight off Shelby. Hubby commented that it would be nice if we ate so healthfully....he's welcome to take over the kitchen anytime!! :)

Thanks for promoting the National Canine Weight Check - we have been getting a lot of feedback thanks to dog-lovers like you getting the word out. We really appreciate it. Has anybody been to get their dog checked yet? Friday is the last day!
