The luge team captain awoke before sunrise to practice test runs on the luge course.
Satisfied, she headed inside to awake the luge team.
The team assembled outside after breakfast.
The coach gave them a pep talk as the team captain looked on.
The luge race was on.
Thanks for watching!

Colin sure worked hard to make the fun run for the cavaliers. They are truly lucky dogs. They look like they are smiling as they run the course.

Sure hope you had a snow blower instead of a shovel!

Is there pit stop areas on the track? :D

Colin does! He has a riding lawnmower, though!;)

He used a shovel!

:)Yes, we have a large pit stop area. The wind causes drifting, and always seems to leave a shallow area in the snow for the dogs. The drift to the left of this area is 4 ft tall:

Yes, they are welcome to join! Please send them all!

Team Moonie did not make the cuts for the US winter Olympics.;) We all get distracted and wander off course at times! :o

Cathy the pictures and caption were wonderful!! Good job. Your puppies look like they are having a great time. How nice of your husband to dig out a course for them. Since I've had Scout we haven't had much snow. Breeze, the Newf, usually just plows through it, I'm not sure what I'm going to do when we get a big snow. I guess dig a course for her.

I always wanted to live where it snowed in the winter! All the snow cav pics I have seen make it look like these dogs LOVE playing in it. In Southern California we get all excited if we get to 50 degrees and pick up a little rain. In fact, when it is even just forecast for maybe an inch or so of rain, the top stories on our local news lead in with "STORM WATCH 2008!" Pretty laughable I say. Guess we are weather wussies in California. Your dogs are awesome, love the pics!
