You can teach an old dog new tricks and Monty, 12, has proved it.

I taught Teddy to wave some time ago, but Joly, who's normally easy to train , just didn't get the idea (The problem being that he does sit up , so was sitting up and lifting one paw higher).However, yesterday he clicked and Monty was sitting watching, so I tried him and he could do it too.

As a bonus, Teddy, who hadn't mastered sit up, suddenly did that , too. Monty knows sit up, but finds it physically difficult, so we don't do it.

Good for him -- and he is adorable! I love his "Mom, do we have to do this again?" look.
