I have this book in my personal library. It's one of my all-time favorite dog books. Sadly, I recently read that Caroline Knapp passed away.

Yes, its beautifully written. Think she recently passed away from Liver Cancer? Is that correct. It really is a heart warming book
p.s. just researched and it was lung cancer
