I feel so sorry for these sweet doggies. http://www.cavalierboard.com/messageboard/images/smiles/icon_sad.gif

Sorry this is kind of loooong...

Dear "Cavaliers Just Wanna Have Fun!" Friends,

Below is an email sent to me tonight from a Dallas CKCSC-USA Rescue volunteer, Terri Griffeth. As you will read, there is an immediate need for any and all help you can give for these ten recent rescues. If you have any questions please address them to Kathi Sturgeon (phone and email address below).

Thank you for your consideration,
Marsha Birdsong

These are tough times for Cavalier rescue. Texas has taken in at least 10 rescues in the last 3 weeks - please pass this on to anyone who may be able to help - even a little. No gift is too small. The current health needs are outlined below.

Thank you.

Terri Griffeth

Sheila Simmons just sent this info. re: where to send donations:

If you wish to contribute to help these and the other Cavaliers in rescue in Texas, you may send your check, payable to:

CKCSC Rescue USA, Inc.

Mail it to:
Carolyn Stigler, Treasurer
CKCSC Rescue USA, Inc.
182 Woodford Hill Drive
Avon, CT 06001

mark in the memo section "for Texas Rescues."

Restricting contributions to a certain area is certainly not the norm as we always want our donations to help any and all Cavaliers in need throughout the US. However, with these three special cases and expensive veterinary treatment and care, we are asking you to make this an exception.

Also, your contributions to CKCSC Rescue USA, Inc. are tax-deductible.

Hello Everyone,
I'm afraid we don't have good news this time. My heart is breaking for this little guy.

Kelsey is in more pain then we thought. Dr Sims said that the X-rays shows a open jaw fracture with the bone exposed. VERY infected because the dog didn't get medical attention when needed. This is a result of the owners waiting 3 days before taking him to a VET. Surgery is needed NOW and we are looking at an amount of about $ 3000.00.

We Will Need Donations for this little angel. This guy has a knot under his chin that is a bag of Puss about the size of a golf ball that has very badly infected his ears and throat.
Kelsey's doctor, Dr. Sims has put in a phone call to a surgeon here in Dallas we are waiting to hear back from this Doctor asap so we can schedule the surgery hopefully tomorrow.

If ever there has been a time when we need your help with three of our very sick rescues its now. I know times are very hard for everyone and we are all feeling the pinch of the rising prices of gas and food to feed our families....So I hope for any and all help with the expenses for these three surgeries.

Annabelle with Kathy Glaze-----Leg/Hip injury
Kelsey with Kathi Sturgeon-----Open Fractured Jaw
Maggie with Melanie Cooper----Bladder Stones
If you need any info on where to make a donation you can email Kathi Sturgeon and I will give an address.

Thank you for anything you can contribute!!!
