05-09-08 Randy is a 6 year old Cavalier.

He is an ex stud dog who's considerate breeders won't use him anymore as some of his pups are being born with hernias and so he's come to us to look for a forever home.

He hasn't been a pet and hasn't lived in a house so will need house training etc. However, his owner's have taken very good care of him and he has loved his life with them. Randy is a brave little guy and loves people.

He is one of the few breeding cavaliers we see that we would be happy to home without another dog around.
He is a fine looking man :lotsaluv:

If you keep scrolling down for a long time, there are two more cavaliers - both females with eye problems. They look very sweet like Randy does. :luv:

If anybody is seriously interested I am fostering Randy for Many Tears.

He is a fantastic boy:luv:

I note that Randy is being rehomed as he is unsuitable as a breeding dog as his puppies were born with hernais. Could somebody tell me a bit more about hernias?

Both my Cavalier's have them and to date they haven't caused any problems - they are just little "bumps". I didn't even register it as a problem really. When we got Rufus my vet said that I shouldn't breed from him because of the hernia (we don't breed anyway) but until then I hadn't given it much thought.

Neither of the breeders mentioned it and I didn't realise I should have asked the question.

I'd just like to know a bit more for future reference.

Randy is very appealing, shame he is so far away.

He is not in Wales any more! There was someone posting from Central Scotland looking for one, that Misty gave the Trusts link too.

Its just as bad for me, I'm near and would love to take him on but can't

No many come up near me, so back to dreaming for now :(
