Holly doesn't have CHF

:rah:I posted a few weeks ago about my 5 1/2 yr old tri (adopted at 5) being diagnosed with MVD & CHF and being prescribed vetmedin/diuretics which didn't agree with her - we are in France & I couldn't find a heart specialist. After some very helpful advice on this site, the French vet x-rayed & said no enlarged heart, no fluid on lungs but continue on the vetmedin with cough syrup. The day her passport was valid I took her to the UK and she saw the vet the next day. No surprise really after all I'd read on here - he did a thorough exam and says she has an almost imperceptible murmur, no signs of CHF and has pneumonia! Told to stop Vetmedin immediately and she has a very strong/long course of antibiotics. She is now full of energy & back to how she was when we first had her so fingers crossed we can get rid of pneumonia (one lung is still "crackly") and she will continue well. Once again, many thanks for the advice received from all you good people -after watching the terrible TV programme the other week, I think Holly must be one of the lucky ones.

She's like a new dog at the moment - she seems to have more energy than she's had since I first adopted her! She's even started to play with my poodle who has more energy than you could believe.:dogwlk:
