This fellow has been on Petfinder for a while. 5 yr.old-shuffled out by a new human baby :bang:

Blu is a purebred Cavalier King Charles. His past guardians had him since he was a puppy. Now, 5 years later, after having a child, he is no longer wanted in their family. We strongly suggest to all people who are considering adopting a puppy to register with the Calgary Health region http://www.birthandbabies.com/ as they offer programs for families with animals who are expecting children. Blu has a wonderful temperament however we would like to adopt him out to a home without small children. We were told that he was deaf in one ear, and has food allergies. We took him for a check up and the vet does not think he is severely deaf as he still responds when you call his name. He will be going in next week to have a teeth cleaned. I sent the link to the CKCS Club of Canada's rescue representative in Alberta. It seems odd that a Cavalier rescue would be difficult to home since they don't often come up, at least not in my part of the country. However, he's quite far from me, otherwise I would inquire.

The CKCS rescue in the area is aware of the dog - he's in a good foster home and thus a permanent is now being sought
