View Full Version : Christmas cards are in!!

3rd December 2008, 05:20 PM
I am told they are in! Once I have the total cost I will work out the price for packets.

These are the designs:

Thanks once again to board members Mimi -- who took the fabulous pics and designed the cards -- and Thelly, who set them up for printing, and arranged for them to be printed. :rah:

3rd December 2008, 06:30 PM
The cards are gorgeous, I especially like the second one.

3rd December 2008, 06:49 PM
Fabulous Karlin!
So who's living room is being turned into the post office??

3rd December 2008, 07:04 PM
Ah they are great,I bet youre so proud of your little babies :rah:

3rd December 2008, 07:13 PM
It will be mine that is the post office! Though people can also collect from the front desk at the Irish Times or from me at home, or from Dog Training Ireland if they are doing a class.

I think I am going to do these in two options -- two packs of two designs. Each pack will have one of the mixed group designs, and then either Santa Baby or Joy. All will be in packs of 10 so they work out evenly for the total number I had printed. I have ordered enough for this year and next!

I think at 5 euro per pack of 10 if collected; 6 euro including p&p.

The cards are individually wrapped and Thelly says they came out really well. There's a greeting inside too.

Oh great, I will be dropping over to Tara's at the weekend, will get them then if they are ready:)

3rd December 2008, 09:49 PM
Ok here we go.

Pack One (10 cards, five of each 2 designs):

Pack Two (10 cards, five of each 2 designs):

They cost 6 euro a pack if collected from me; or 8 euro each including p&p.

NB: I had seriously underestimated the cost of postage on these and forgot to price in all my envelopes so needed to raise the price on them -- explained [URL="http://board.cavaliertalk.com/showpost.php?p=299909&postcount=21"]here (http://board.cavaliertalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=20&d=1227570308).

You can PayPal (http://www.paypal.com) me via this address:

replacing the AT with an @ sign.

Or you can pay cash, euro cheque or money order. Please note you can choose the currency on PayPal that you wish to pay in, so just pick euros.

I still haven't figured out how to set up a darn PayPal button. If someone knows how to do this let me know! I will be collecting the cards tomorrow so can start to mail them out on Friday or am around for them to be collected after that.

Hi Karlin
I would like 2 packs of pack 1 and 2 packs of pack 2 would ib be better if igave you my mail address then you could send me a paypal with th correct postage to the uk.I await your advice

5th December 2008, 12:36 AM
The price for P&P is enough to cover my costs to the UK plus envelope -- so just go by the pricing there. The difference isn't much between UK and Ireland for postage. :)

I've had some orders in already -- mailing those out tomorrow, and yes, be sure to give me your mailing address on orders so I know where they go!

5th December 2008, 05:46 PM
I got them!! Wow!!!

Thanks so much to Maria and Thelly for all the work they put into these -- they look fabulous.

Maria, I will PM you back about your message; have been out all day.

Just off to order a packet of each!

5th December 2008, 08:23 PM
Have just ordered some cards Karlin - thanks for doing them - and to Mimi and Thelly too

I think if you follow this link it shows you how to put a BUY NOW button on here

6th December 2008, 01:26 AM
Thanks Nicki! OK you can click here to go straight to order from me on Paypal (to Irish Cavalier Rescue).

I can't paste in a button on the board but that is the direct link that would be a button!

6th December 2008, 12:09 PM
Sure that's fine too -- they can be made to Irish Cavalier Rescue as I have a specific rescue account set up at Bank of Ireland. A giro transfer also is fine. Sins I just PMd you.

6th December 2008, 06:08 PM
Hi Karlin,

I've just sent €12 via paypal. Could you please send me 1 pack of each?

Thanks :)

6th December 2008, 06:40 PM
I have posted the initial batch out and will do the next group. I found that I seriously underestimated postage though  so need to raise the prices for future orders -- I forgot the post office here raised packet prices considerably in the last year and it cost me over €2 per pack to the UK and just under €2 to Ireland, and I also forgot to price in the envelopes -- doh! and that PayPal charges me nearly a euro per transaction in another currency -- eg the UK cards -- so need to raise the overall price to 6 euro per pack if collecting directly from me and 8 euro with p&p. That's still a good price for 10 cards I think! Sorry about that folks! Don't worry about it if you have ordered and paid. :)

If people are going to be in town I can just leave their packet to be collected from the Irish Times office on Tara Street. I will also have some packets sent over to some of the Anicare vet branches assuming it is still OK with them for me to sell the cards there.

It is just ridiculously expensive now to mail packets out. :(

6th December 2008, 08:14 PM
I will have 1 of each pack, please pm how many euros I need to send and where to. I will buy the euros and post them as I don't have paypal (I will take the risk). Thanks :)

6th December 2008, 09:52 PM
Thanks for asking about them. I do not want to take cash through the mail as the risk is high that it would be removed and then you would be out that money as would I.

You can get a postal order for euro at the post office or at any bank. Or maybe someone with an account can send the money and you can pay them pounds? The total for two packs would be 16 euro which at the moment is probably about 12-13 pounds.

6th December 2008, 10:14 PM
I would like a pack please Karlin. I can send payment via paypal, if you let me know what the postage and packing charge is to England.

Either pack will be fine - they're all lovely. Surprise me!;)

Many thanks

7th December 2008, 11:42 AM
The cost to the UK will be 8 euro for a pack. :)

Margaret you are very kind. My PayPal account is finally working again for payments too so I can get money to you for my eBay winnings!

Sue can you PM me what pack you want and your address please? I'll send you details. You can also just do a giro transfer next time you are at the bank if that suits.

Thanks a lot

12th October 2009, 05:05 PM
Yes I have lots of these in! I made enough to sell for a couple of years. :) I do need to review P&P and costs on these those so hang on before doing further orders.

Also they will be available from some of my vets this year as well (Anicare offices in Blanchardstown and Glasnevin most likely).

I need to bring all the card boxes down from the attic.

Jacies yes your order came through. :)

I'm out in California for work this week so will get to this shortly on return.

I didn't realise either. I was about to order, then I saw your post. Too excited by the lovely cards.:)

12th October 2009, 11:06 PM
I think they will be the same -- just need to get a few moments to go back over this thread again. I haven;t had time to get the card post back up for this year.

We have a range of good options for people looking for cards this year as margaret C has some posted too!

Hard to believe it is holiday card time of the year again fast approaching... Seems I just stored everything in the attic! Wait -- I probably was so far behind that that's true...

9th November 2009, 03:37 PM
I know how busy you are Karlin but was just wondering whether you had had a chance to see if you still have any of these cards from last year left and whether I should send you extra money for the postage

9th November 2009, 09:28 PM
I would also like some if you have them, thanks :)

9th November 2009, 09:33 PM
Yes I have tons of them. :) I will do them at the same price as last year and will get yours sent out. Also will do a fresh thread on them tomorrow or the next day.
