If you're a past member of the board, but can't recall your password any more, you don't need to set up a new account (unless you wish to). As long as you recall your old login name, you can log in with that user name then select 'forgot password' and the board will email you at your registration email, to let you reset your password.

Could you try comparing the MRI images from the SM website to those of Dylan's to choose an image that shows his syrinx? Here is the link to the MRI images: http://sm.cavaliertalk.com/diagnosing/mris/mris.html
Can you make the picture smaller? That is really too large to see even on a large monitor at work for me. I can't tell what that is but looks like a side angle of some sort. I can see what seems to be the spinal cord but just barely.
What you want are the slices closest to the centre of the head. But really you'd probably need someone with experience of interpreting MRIs to look at them and pick out what is relevant. The vast majority of pictures -- meaning all but about 2 or 3 angles -- won't mean anything even to those of us who have looked at a lot of MRIs. If you go to my SM site you can see the kind of image that is meaningful. But to be honest I don't know if many here would get too much from the images, if you are looking for people's opinions-- they really require specialist interpretation and I'd be reluctant to have people making incorrect interpretations. Some of us could probably see a few elements that would be relevant such as syrinxes, hindbrain crowding and possibly ventricle size but that would be it. It would be better to share this with someone who can go through the images on a PC or choose some relevant images and explain them -- perhaps the next time you are at your neurologist?
