Hello - im new!

Hi im Sarah & have been noseing around the site a while!

i have two akita dogs, Thor & Freya, both rescues, i am also heavily involved in rescue for akitas, and help out others as and when i can!

so you are probably wondering what i am doing on here!:D

my first ever dog was a cavalier, Brookshaw calamaroo, or just my little darling Cally! she too was sort of rescued off the breeder who didnt want her as she had an overbite.

any how a while ago, i came across a cav that needed help, she wasnt suitable for me to help as she was too nervous & having two big dogs that would have been no good for her, then a few months later i saw another pup that was blind that needed help, i applied to adopt her but unfortunately she disapeared off the rehoming page. well since then, i cant get them out of my head!

so i am inpatiently waiting for a young cavalier pup to come up in rescue, one that can grow with my two and fit in nicely, i would take on an older one, but as most of them have been in some kind of traumatic situation they may be frightened of my two big softies!

oh look i have wrote an essay! sorry!

Hi sarahso

And most wellcome ,and tks for your lovely introductory note, I hope you get your Cav rescue soon that you are so looking forward to.:)

I am sure the perfect cavalier is out there for you.....Judy And, by the way, Welcome to the board.

Hi & icon_welcome Sarah. Keep checking the Rescue threads, but be warned....Cavaliers are like chocs and Pringles.. one is never enough!

Hi Sarah, I hope you find your Cavalier soon. Sounds like you have thought this through well. You never know, if your two dogs are softies, maybe an older nervous dog might enjoy their company. They don't all stay nervous. (y)

Thank you all for such a warm welcome!:p

i think i will wait a while for the right rescue to come along - but am checking several times a day!

i understand that some rescues may be wary of placing a cavalier with us because of my big dogs, but they are well socialised & have helped me foster many a pup! and i believe that they would welcome one or two little ones!:D

This is a fantastic informative forum, i have learnt so much & hopefully will be able to put the advice to use in the not to distant future!

Hi & welcome, I'm sure somewhere there is a cavalier just for you!! Good job you have your 2 dogs to keep you busy the waiting is the worst!:)
