There's an elderly male with limited eyesight and few teeth in the Meath pound. Desperate for a home or long term foster for him -- he needs a kind retirement home somewhere as he will be pts if left in the pound -- doubt anyone will home him from the pound. He shouldn't be spending cold nights on concrete floors either. Anyone want to give an old man a little more TLC for a little more time?

Trying to get more info on him -- he is very, very urgent and at risk of being pts.

Ok he is a blenheim male, senior citizen, has two teeth and cataracts or milky lenses (these are not always cataracts, often just haziness from old age). Otherwise he is lively and friendly. Sleeping in a concrete pound kennel at the moment. :( He will be stuck in there now as tomorrow is a holiday in Ireland.

Hope someone gets this little man out before his time's up . He deserves a lovely retirement home not a concrete floor .
Anyone out there with a spare lap ?

Hi Karlin, just saw this. Hope we'll be able to help. Am really busy tomorrow as my dad is in hospital having a knee replacement, but my OH would be happy to do the collecting :) Might not be able to get on cavtalk tomorrow so if you need us to lend a hand send me a text and I'll make arrangements.

Cecily, thanks so much. If we get him out then at least I can move ahead with some alternatives for him. Let me make a call and see but I am sure he could be collected immediately anytime from the Meath pound. I will get back to you. Sounds like a friendly old guy.

Cecily's off the hook. :) This guy is now sorted to a foster with an eye to homing through a rescue colleague. b*n*n*

Oh good news :D

Karlin, can you confirm that you got my PM re this guy or did it fly off into cyberspace?

Didn't get a PM; there were hosting company glitches all day yesterday so maybe it got sent into the ether at just the wrong moment. But all's well that ends well... :)

Thank DoG for that :).

If he'd run out of options over there, you know we would've squeezed him in at ours. Sounds like his luck's in. :)

Happy to hear he is sorted out. A shame he lives so far away

If the foster doesn't work out I live in Dublin 15 and could take this fellow immediately. Just PM me.
