Hi there, ive just ordered these now we have an SM diagnosis, after your advice on another thread-thank you!Her puppia harness makes her scratching worse i think it might be too full on the shoulder for her, so i went looking for a soft & skinny one. in the feeders ive ordered "the pendle" in medium & the stairs are the ones pauline recommended & i think a few of you use-thanks again!

Has anyone tried a cooling jacket & or scarf? ive ordered a scarf for her to begin with but wondered if the jackets are going too far!

I have to question whether those vests are worth their salt. The principle behind the technology is correct and similar products are being used by the US military in the middle east, but the water needs to contact the skin to work. I question whether these would actually make them hotter. Their fur would keep the wetness of the vest off their skin, preventing the vest from doing its job.

I have used them and they do feel quite cool to the touch, I don't think they helped that much though, as there was no air circulating underneath. It is worth a try, but I think a spray bottle of water works better. I would be prepared for some weird looks and rude comments by people who don't understand why the dog is wearing a coat on the hottest day of the year.
