There are also breed clubs in almost every state. To find them, Google "cavalier king charles spaniel club" + (your state).

Most AKC or ACKCSC affiliated clubs will also have their own rescue division.

If you're looking for an adult Cavalier outside of rescue, you can also contact breeders in your state~ some of which may have dogs that they are retiring, or were returned to them for one reason or another. Again, first find your local breed club, then go to the breeder referral page to find reputable breeders to contact.

Keep in mind, that with most rescues, you must live within driving distance to where the foster dog is staying. They will NOT ship dogs under any circumstance. Home checks and personal reference checks are *required* and they are very strict with whom the dogs are placed and will take the time to find the right match for each dog.

Heritage Cavaliers

Here is the information for another rescue on the Texas and surrounding area (even though I know personally she has traveled several states to pick up Cavaliers in need). This wonderful lady works with our club and single handedly placed close to 100 cavaliers in 2008. Most were rescued off the auction blocks or through puppy mill raids.

She is always looking for loving foster homes and volunteers.
