View Full Version : Anyone want a "dog park" session?

TKC

Anyone on for a dog park type session in our training centre. Lots of play and social activity for Cavaliers only secured and safe? An hour of letting them sniff, play, run and enjoy each other with some fun toys etc?

I really think they don't get enough of this. Could organise it for a Saturday afternoon. Would cost about a tenner per dog to cover costs and may be a bit of fun for everyone.

Let me know if it's something everyone would be interested in. If it was good we could maybe make it a weekly thing like a Cavalier Club!

Could get some funny photos too!

Oh how I wish we had something here like that for that amount of money. The only secured dog park is private and expensive:lpy:(50$ to join than 10+ per visit or 200$ per dog per year)

Working with another cavalier talk member on putting together a local casual play group. So far one meeting and another comming up.

Hope you all have fun at the play day.

Sparky would love it!

If we have other dogs could we bring those along too or is it soly for cavs?

Other social dogs would be fine. Would probably need at least 10 doggies to make it worthwhile for them.

We do have a little puppy area so tinies could be catered for aswell.

My lot would love the chance to stretch their legs and run wild for an hour :D

I would of course have to bring the Gavin!

So how does Saturday 18th @ 1.30pm for an hour suit?

Cost will be a tenner.

I will have Phil the Photographer there lol so we can get the snaps.

A simply dog park session. Play and socialisation for the little cavaliers.

I need about 10 to go ahead with this. Can you reply here if you are coming and how many doglets!

Thanks,
Tara

Count my 4 in too.

Cody and Abigail are really looking forward to it. Jasmine can stay in the puppy area. And Gavin can play with Cass, lol.

Peter will be on hand to remove Gavin for a walk around the estate instead if he's bold and also Jasmine if she's unhappy (it really depends on the number of little people in attendance) :D

I think we should have a terrier corner as well as the puppy one!!! Then Gav & Cass can go over there!!

I asked if Cass does get grumpy if she could go into one of the day care cages & Lisa said yes so maybe Gav could have one too!! Cass is grand 90% of the time but sometimes shes just a grumpy old lady ya know!!:D

Talked to Tara; they might do this as a monthly event if there's enough interest.

WHAT are they all smelling?! Must be something interesting on the floor at DTI!

I think Cody was the first rescue cavalier to go to Ste? :)

Maybe we can set up a monthly Cavalier Club!? There would need to be enough interest to make it worth Tara's while to have DTI open for everyone. I'll chat with her -- I know I'd like to get mine out for this (though Lily will have to lunge at everyone once, first :bang:).

Maybe she could set it up as a subscription series. I know she has lots of cavaliers that have been through DTI that might enjoy doing this.
