Hi Amanda, if you PM me your email address, I will send you a pattern for a sweater. Its knit in the round and has been adapted for a cavalier. I started mine many times but never got to finish it; kept going wrong and forgetting where I was :sl*p:

Hi Amanda, I bought a book on Amazon called Dogs in Knits by Judith L. Swartz which has 17 projects for dogs. There is a very nice Aran pattern that I started to knit for Chaos. Never finished it because she can't wear anything now that she scratches so much. You can sometimes find patterns on ebay too.

Found one of my knitting books, "Knitting for Dogs" that is available on amazon like another poster suggested. (what I was going to suggest;))
I also have used pattern central before, great site.

Have never knit for my girls, would love to also want to hear what pattern you are using and what wool you are going to use.

Cann't wait to hear.:p

I'm in the middle of knitting a sweater for Kendall right now. I'm using merino wool in a blue heather color (my husband won't walk her if she's wearing pink). I started it flat but have since joined it in the round to do the body behind the leg holes. If it works out, I'll post a picture and the pattern on Kendall's blog. With my luck, I'll get it all done and it won't fit even though I knitted a swatch and measured carefully.

Hi Suzanne, am going to knit the capelets (with a few adjustements at the back to have them fit better, more like a dog coat....not sure yet how I'm going to adapt it, will need to get knitting it before I work it out) and a blankie from knittingpattern central, meant to get started last weekend, but ended up at an antiques fair instead:sl*p:.

Oooh, that sounds lovely Gretchen, would love to see a photo when you get finished.

I'm going to use the merino wool too, have ordered the merino aran, in petal pink and lilac, cherry red and buttermilk and forest green, going in tom to pick it up... and then get started, I've 3 little capelets to get done for christmas!!!!:)

Wow! That is so nice, I love the colour. I'd love to get my hands on the pattern, I'm sure my nana would be able to knit one for Bailey and Holly in time for christmas:)

That is just GORGEOUS! :jmp2:You are so much more talented at this than I am, love the color with the slight heather in the wool too. I would be happy with a basic stitch pattern and not too many changes. I am a craft project junky, I do a little of everything ie jack of many master of few (scrapbooking, crosstich, quilting, sewing, stamping, knitting) Maybe I will be able to start someting for my skiney girl before in warms up agian in 6 months.

Wow that is beautiful. Used to knit a lot of aran patterns a good few years ago. Have not been knitting for a long time.

I finally finished Kendall's sweater. It's not nearly as fancy as SianE's, but I'm sure it'll keep her warm this winter. I posted pictures over on her blog.

Looks great. I have come to the conclusion that I am too slow at knitting to ever get this done (have a friend who knits, maybe can convence). But I found a pattern to sew a fleece coat looks like sweater, can get that done much faster.

No real need for either where I live except for a few days each year, but they look too cute to resist.

It took me quite awhile to do. I find it hard to knit at home because my lap is always full of Kendall. :) I've had a string of flights lately that made it possible. I figured when I started it last year it would take awhile and I might finish for this winter, or maybe next.

My next project is a raincoat. Living in the Pacific Northwest there's a real need for a good raincoat. I picked up some material that is Burberry stripes on one side a nice aqua color on the other. That's something I'll need to work on after the holidays.
