29-11-09 Erin is a 4 year cavalier. She is a beautiful little girl from a breeding kennels. She is terribly thin and we heard her snoring in the van on the way back to the rescue. When we examined her we found that it wasn't snoring. This poor girl is having awful trouble breathing and has a huge bony growth lump around her throat. We will take an x-ray tomorrow but feel terribly sad as it looks like it might be a hopeless case. We will still do everything in our power to save her. If Erin goes to a new home she will definitely need another very gentle dog or dogs to help her so please only apply for her if you are already a dog owner.

29-11-09 Ebb is a 2 year old male cavalier who is a retired stud dog from a breeding kennels. He is excellent with other dogs and will need to have a nice, settled canine role model in his new home. Please only apply for him if you already have a resident dog or dogs who will help him adjust to living in a home.

29-11-09 Erica is a 6 year old ruby cavalier who has lived her whole life as a breeding bitch. She has no experience of pet life and will need a calm and settled dog in her new home to help her adjust to living in a house. Please only apply for Erica if you have a soft and gentle dog or dogs who will help her.

http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/Esme-cav-29-11-09.JPG

29-11-09 Esme is a 5 year old cavalier who has been given up by her breeder to find a new home. Poor Esme has never been inside a house or been loved by people and so has a lot to learn about pet life. She will need another dog to help her with this so please only apply if you already have a soft and gentle dog or dogs who will help her.

http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/California-24-11-09.jpg

24-11-09 California is a lovely 4 yr old ex breeding cav. She is a little bewildered with the big wide world at the moment and would love a home to call her own. However, she will need another dog or dogs who already live in the home and who will help her learn as she has only lived in the company of other dogs. Please do not apply for her unless you are already a dog owner.

http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/FOREVER-CAV-30-11-09.jpg

30-11-09 Forever is looking for her forever home. She is a 5yr old ex breeding female cav. This sweet girl will need a loving home with a resident dog in order for her confidence to grow so please only apply for her if you have a kind and gentle dog or dogs who will befriend her.

http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/Ella-Cav-29-11-09.JPG

01-12-09 Ella is a 3 yr old ex breeding cav. She is very sweet but has never lived in a house and will need a home with a resident dog or dogs to help her gain confidence.

Also an update on Zora
http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/zORA-Update-01-12-09A.jpg
http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/zORA-Update-01-12-09B.jpg

Zora is a very timid little girl but already is starting to come out of her shell. When Zora arrived she found the sofa within 2 minuets. She loves the sofa as it is her safe place. When I leave the room Zora jumps off the sofa and has a run around the lounge. She has ventured into the kitchen when I am in there just to make sure that I am still around then when I glance in her direction she scoots back on to the sofa.
I have not taken Zora out on her lead as yet as she is too worried about everything so a few days getting used to me and the other dogs is in order. She is a very loving little girl who given time will reward her new family with much much love. She loves to be cuddled though it does have to be on the sofa at the moment. She loves her food but never tries to take anyone else's. She has learnt how to take a treat from my hand and really seems to enjoy them.
Zora is the perfect looking Cavalier King Charles, she really is perfectly formed with a beautiful soft coat and eyes. Zora needs to be with owner for most, if not all, of the time as she deserves to receive all the love that only her person can give her. She also needs another little doggie friend to help her gain her confidence. I do see her watching me interact with my dogs and feel sure this helps her to feel safe and loved. She is a very special girlie so please think of little Zora especially at this time of the year when so many little ones need their new forever families.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG:
Please read our adoption procedures before applying and complete the Adoption Form. You will be contacted within 24 hours. If successful you will be home checked and you and all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog. All our dogs are micro-chipped, inoculated and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If you are adopting a puppy you will need to provide details of training classes in your area. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £150 for dogs at the centre. http://manytearsrescue.webs.com/dogslookingforhomes.htm

I keep looking at the pic of 'California'... looks a LOT like our old Cavalier.
The only drawback is that she's in the UK...grrr!!

Now, I wonder how much my hubby loves me, & if I should pop a trip to the UK onto my xmas wish list.... maybe I had better make a wish list then! :)

3-12-09 Hiccup is a 3 yr old ex breeding cav. This sweet girl is coming up to have a fuss but will need lots of attention to ensure she comes out of her shell. I see these and it breaks my heart, I would love to adopt one but I think the trip to the Netherlands is just too traumatic for them :(

I just hope there are folks there to be the perfect forever homes for all of those lovely Cavaliers.

Why do people do this to these dogs - so sad :(

Most of the Cavs at Many Tears come from the many puppy farms in South Wales, which is why they tend to look so bewildered.

If anyone can help any of these beautiful dogs before Christmas, please contact the rescue via the website

well, I would like to give of of these girls a new forever home!
I once wrote to Many tears about this, explaining about myself, my dogs and our life here. I think that I am quite capable of dealing with a rescue dog, as most of the dogs I have ahd in my life were rescues. the cavaliers are the first non-rescue dogs I have for years.
but I never even received an answer, which I found a bit strange.....:(

Sorry to hear that Renate. I'm not directly involved with Many Tears - just like to publicise on this Forum any rescue dogs that I come across elsewhere - but from what I gather from so many rescue websites, they are all desperately understaffed for the number of dogs which need help. So please don't take it personally :flwr:

Nice to hear that you have given a good home to so many rescue dogs - they need more people like you on their side

thanks for your kind reply, Anne-Maire:). I know how it is in 'these places'. I support an animal shelter in the eastern part of germany, so I know it is not easy to find time...

maybe they do not want ot adopt to somebody abroad, which would be understandable.

but, in case somebody is interested: I am willing to adopt a cavalier girl. and my four girls are friendly and kind to other dogs.

Sad news about Erin as well, I'm afraid :(
Today very sadly Erin our little cav with the lumps on her neck saw a specialist who tried to operate but sadly this was futile and she had to be put to sleep. I would like to say thank you Carol (her fosterer) for putting such effort into getting her to a specialist. We are all so sorry we cannot have the chance to find her the forever home she would have so loved and thanks also to to Noel and his family also for fostering her originally until we could move her nearer the specialist.

CALIFORNIA IS BEING FOSTERED NEAR MANY TEARS IN SOUTH WALES
http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/California-24-11-09.jpg
08-112-09 UPDATE
California has been with me for a week now and her tail hasn't stopped wagging! She craves attention and likes nothing more than to cuddle up alongside you on the settee. In fact the first night she was here she sat on the settee watching the TV; she was absolutely fixated by it. Toilet training is ongoing as she totally refuses to go out if it is cold or raining so it's a case of carrying her out and staying out with her until she's "been"!! She sleeps in the kitchen with my other dogs, and you will normally find her curled up to one of my own cavs, so a home with another friendly dog is a MUST HAVE. If you're looking for an adorable, loving dog who will be your friend for life then look no further as she's here waiting for you to adopt.

ZORA BEING FOSTERED IN WREXHAM
http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/Zora-Cav-18-11-09.jpg
08-12-09 UPDATE
I simply cannot believe the changes in Zora this week. She is one of the most loving giving little dogs I have ever met. Since my last update Zora has completely relaxed and settled into my home. I took her out on Saturday for the first time on a lead and harness. Although timid Zora did allow a fuss and a stroke from people.
Zora no longer lives on the sofa - she is always where I am which is so lovely. She will lie outside of the bathroom door whilst I get ready for work, then follow me into my bedroom then finally downstairs again. She interacts well with the other dogs but does seem to prefer human company.
I do believe it will be better for Zora if she were adopted by a middle aged couple or person who will be in a position to devote much time to her. She does enjoy her walks so someone who would do this at least once every day. I believe children would scare Zora so donít think she would be happy in a home with small children. She would like another little dog to cuddle up to and to help her find her way in life but a small dog who would be gentle with her.
Zora has discovered toys and has learned how to play with them also to hide them. In a matter of days Zora has learned all about living in a home with humans and dogs alike. She will settle down to pet life very quickly given the correct encouragement from her new family.
Zora is a beautiful special lovely girl so please consider giving her a brand new life full of love and warmth, long walks and the best food there is which is of course Burns. Oh I nearly forgot lots of lovely treats for when she has been your very best girl.

EBB BEING FOSTERED IN BEXLEYHEATH, KENT
http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/EBB-cav-29-11-09.JPG
07-12-09 UPDATE
Whether you're a Cavalier fan or not, you'll easily fall in love with Ebb! He's started his road to recovery and I sense it will be a quick one. Today he just couldn't control his happiness & freedom so bounded and leapt around in the garden with such delight - even charging up to me for a cuddle! He's found the toy box and already selected a favourite toy. He's slotted himself within my pack without issues at all and adores my children. He's a King Charles through and through - loves a cuddle, loves his food BUT he'd love a home for Christmas.

PUMPKIN IS NOT YET READY FOR ADOPTION. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR HER UNTIL THE WEBSITE SAYS SHE'S READY.

http://webzoom.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/Dogs09/Pumpkin-Cav-13-12-09.jpg

13-12-09 Pumpkin is TINY. She is a 6 week old cav but she is half the size of her brothers and sisters. We are taking her to see the vet tomorrow as she has what appear to be some problems. She is living mainly down my jacket snuggled with me but here at Many Tears Rescue. We will not be homing her yet so please DO NOT APPLY until positive updates done and we say she is ready. I will fight for her and go to any length to help her.
14-12-09 UPDATE
The vet had a look at Pumpkin today. He thinks there is a problem with her sight which means she has limited sight. He also thinks that her stomach has not formed correctly. These issues may or may not need medical treatment. Sylvia is going to foster her until the right home comes forward bearing in mind that the person who takes her on will have to help her through both these problems emotionally and financially.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi i thought i would post this gorgeous little girl 'Pumpkin' She seems to have alot of problems but its still early days. If i wasn't so far away in Australia i would take her in a heartbeat! Just rememeber she isn't up for adoption just yet...But keep an eye out, she looks so lost! It makes me so sad :(

Sad news about Pumpkin :(
Pumpkin very sadly did not make it. Further examinations found she had a heart murmur and a hole in the heart along with other complications. She had a wonderful couple of weeks in her foster homes and was a very happy little pup. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Our thanks to Carol and her family for all the love and kindness they gave to Pumpkin.

So sad, they seem to be losing a lot of cavs recently.

What makes me really angry is that if MT hadn't stepped in, these really sick puppies would have been sold to unsuspecting owners, perhaps buying their first dog and knowing no better, and landed them with potentially big vet bills and the heartache of losing their puppy - or they would have died alone in their puppy farm pens. At least, thanks to MT, they had some love and cuddles in their short lives. But when are local authorities in the UK going to start using the legislation they've already got to close down the puppy farms??
