Interview with Clare Rusbridge

I did not know she spent time at nc state and she said (if I'm reading correctly) was where she got into neurology. I live in charlotte nc and think nc state has a great vet school & wish dr. Olby would work with dr. Rusbridge some if they already do not. Funding etc. Is a different topic. I think she's great and since she is in the uk, it makes me feel good to know she spent time close to home. Does she have a cavalier?

Also, I read something about nc state participating in the dna collection. Is that correct?

I loved reading the interview. She's gifted with the ability to make cross connections between human and veterinary topics. So interesting how many opportunities presented themselves during the course of her training, and how she took advantage of them. She's so multifaceted in her approach.

Two things that I personally took away from the interview: I wish that Charlie could have been in her care, because his medical problems were very complex, going far beyond just SM in my opinion. Also, I think it's hitting me very hard at this time that Geordie is receiving palliative care; sometimes I forget that only his pain is being treated.

She is a very gifted and interesting veterinary specialist. I'm so glad she has Cavaliers in her radar; they can only benefit from all she does.

INTERVIEW WITH CLARE RUSBRIDGE

Yes Cathy, the Cavalier World is so fortunate that Clare realized in the late 90's that some-thing was wrong with our Cavaliers and this Neurological Problem, and now the Cavaliers are benefiting because of her Interest in SM.

The Cavaliers and their Owners have so much to thank Clare for in trying to help the Suffering of Cavaliers with the SM Problem.
