Karlin, I hope you don't mind me posting this, but I so wanted to help him in some way right now! I sure hope someone gets this poor baby. He's so lovely, but so sad! And look at the ears.

Poor little guy looks so lost saw him earlier can't stop thinking about him :(
Let me know if I can help can foster short term to get him out of the pound or help with transport If needed

I've talked to Martina about him already -- if he isn't reclaimed (and he has to do 5 days in the pound) we could definitely use someone who could take him out and hold and then we will sort longer term foster. Scared and timid dog and not suitable for a home with young children. He can be booked directly from the pound as well to anyone who wishes to rehome -- but please, anyone interested be honest about the home you can offer and be aware this is not going to be a suitable family dog, needs a teen/adult home, and will need work on his timidity.

Ah the poor pet. Let me know if I can help.

Indeed he looks very frightened. Anyone who's been through what he might have been through, which I could just imagine:(... would really need a calm quiet home...

Can also do transport or help if needed to get him out of there

I fear he'll be booked by some idiotic home -- just hope he gets out to somewhere suitable. :(

His poor bewildered face is the saddest expression of why a Cavalier should never end up in a pound that I have ever seen! Do hope they will select more carefully than you fear, Karlin.
Fingers crossed for the little man :d*g:

Oh the poor darling, those eyes are just so moving...
I really hope they are careful where he goes, he looks so very special.

Is someone near that pound who might have a moment today to go in to him? Pound open for next couple of hours. PM me your number; or ring if you have my number.

Thanks! Wasn't able to sort this due to timing so if someone close to the pound is available tomorrow please ring or PM me -- for Amanda it would be a long drive.

Karlin, I can go visit first thing in the morning. I can take him for a few days if he is not home booked, and longer if either Buster or Orla (a Martina foster) move on to their forever homes soon.

Thread updated as "reclaimed".

Yes he was. He was very thin and not a very happy dog. :( Owners were tracked down.

Maybe I should feel happy when I hear that a dog is reclaimed from the pound, but I'm not feeling happy about this one... I'm hoping that Robin is ok.
12th January 2011, 08:11 AM
Oh I agree, what a state he's in and he looks so unhappy. I could cry for him, infact I've got tears now. Have the owners actually collected him?
12th January 2011, 09:07 AM
Oh dear, I'm not sure that being reclaimed is the best thing for Robin. I lay in bed last night imagining where he was :(. I truly hope he will be ok.

I'm feeling same here. Even though he's 'home', as they say: you can't save them all....
