This is the exact same research project that Rupert's Fund supports for cavaliers! Maybe this will inspire the international CKCS breed clubs to make the same commitment and support the genome work in a similar way either through Rupert's Fund or independently. It's truly great that the griffon breeders want to support the work before their breed becomes as affected as cavaliers, and are acting early to fund research work internationally. They are fortunate in that many of their breed scanned so far are clear for both CM and SM, giving them many more options if they tackle this horrific problem now, whereas it is almost impossible to find cavaliers clear for CM.
