View Full Version : Nalu from Lake Superior

Greetings from Wisconsin. We have been raising our first puppy since April and she’s now 13 months old. She’s very shy and shocked us when she suddenly ran into the woods and treed a bear when she was 6 mos old (and ran back in to chased it away after it climbed back down!) She’s been on a leash ever since. She’s alone during the day while we work so she demands a lot when I’m home. It’s quite overwhelming and I didn’t expect it to be so time intensive. I am so impressed with the information, support, friendliness, and technical structure of this website – three cheers and many thanks!! Hopefully the following pictures will work.

Welcome! I have Claire who is 13 months also! She is a Ruby.

Nalu is beautiful! Where did her name come from?

Looking forward to getting to know both of you!

Nalu is Hawaiian for "daughter of the deep blue sea" and I met my first Cavalier on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. On a crowded beach next to a busy road this dog followed a little girl everywhere (off leash) and road on the girl's boogie board through some pretty big waves. Here's a picture of Nalu learning to boogie.
