Hi,
I saw on TV during the dog show preparation that a cavalier has some kind of tape around the ears while waiting to be shown. Do you know where I can buy some? My dog, Bee eats wet food and it is messy cause food gets stuck in ears.

Thanks
Kitty

The tape is more for grooming. What you want is a snood. :) eg http://www.allthingscavalier.com/id4.html

This will probably sound odd but anyway. I use the snoods for my two which is great but I find when they have a bone especially Jasper his feet get all yuk is there anything for their feet! Lol

Before we started keeping our Cavaliers trimmed, I bought deep dish bowls designed to keep the snout in and the ears out. :-D

We have tried pretty much everything, mine didn't like snoods, have also tried the human scrunchy hair bands to tie the ears up behind the head, but these rascals just shake them out.

We are having the most success with baby bibs :yikes

see here http://www.cavaliertalk.com/forums/showthread.php?37807-Bibs-for-messy-eaters&highlight=bibs

the longer ones help cover the feet too

hihi a baby bib, on this idea I would not come
In Germany we take snoods, I sew the snoods for my dogs, it's very easy

I hadn't thought of a bib! I'll have to give it a try, too! And do you mind my asking where you got the bowl (tall with stainless insert?). I have been looking all over for something like that *crosses fingers it is something I can order in the States*.

I have only seen plastic ones but will not use them. Only ceramic or stainless steel.

Thanks, I'll check it out! I don't like using anything but stainless bowls either for Rose; the cats have a ceramic bowl, but it's "people grade" and as soon as there is a crack in the finish, it will be gone.

For water, we have stainless bowls, because our water is very hard, is calcareous the right word? A stainless bowl is easy to clean. For the other food, we have ceramic bowls, but they are sensitive, that's right.
