This poor baby is in Meath Dog Pound, his date out is July 4th.

Fingers crossed he gets out of the pound and goes somewhere nice soon.

The facebook page has been updated saying that there is a lot of interest in Sammy, so I think this little guy will be safe. I have tried contacting them but have not had any response. Fingers crossed for him :xfngr:

Always difficult to reach this pound -- they rarely return calls. I have been there in person and hence they have phone numbers and do know there is a cavalier rescue but do not seem interested (they have never rung for help with any cavalier or cav cross). They generally rehome themselves or dogs on the pts list tend to go to Dog's Trust or sometimes, another general rescue. If anyone is ever interested in a Meath pound dog it is best to personally call in to the pound asap after seeing the dog listed. Last Hope often crosspost the pound dogs but are not generally in position to take them all out themselves so it is good to differentiate between their own rescues and pound dogs as the former are already safe and the latter are a pts risk. I know, it makes things very confusing!
