As I am the Birmingham part of the Midland Club's rehoming and rescue arm I trotted off to the Birmingham Dogs' Home to check this out. Apparently the dog was reunited with his owners as soon as they heard he was going to be sent there for rehoming. Nothing more is known. I am so glad there is a happy outcome.
