Help with avatar

This is probably a silly question, but I still can't figure out how to make my avatar:-?

It always says vbulletin message invalid file .....

Hi :)

What I do is -

On the top of the forum I click on "settings" (in between "my profile" and "logout")

I scroll down and on the left side I click on "edit avatar".

I pick option two and select the photo I want to use as my avatar. Then I click on "save changes".

This works for me, I don't get the message you get, good luck.
