This little blenheim girl was found and has been taken to the pound. The owner was contacted on MONDAY and hasn't bothered to pick her up - words fail me, well polite words do.

She only has one eye, probably since birth.

I saw this too Brian. I am as sick as a parrot. I have been looking for an adult needing a good home for some time and found nothing. I would have taken on either dog without a second thought if I wasn't due to have major surgery on 6 January.

How somebody can abandon a vulnerable dog like this is totally beyond my understanding. Perhaps they turned her out for some reason and don't want her back. I hear that many of the shelters are full and unable to take new dogs for rehoming. Perhaps that's what happened here? Who knows?

Like I said, how I wish I could give this dear little dog a good home.

I have more information from a reliable source. Apparently the little girl is a regular visitor to this no kill shelter. Her owner is a young man well known to the shelter people. Apparently he collects the dog once he has scraped together the 'release fee'. Should he not turn up in a reasonable time she will be rehomed.

With a bit of luck the owner might have other financial priorities at this time of the year and she will be re homed sooner rather than later, as it seems she isn't exactly a priority at the moment. :(

A shame this one isn't found 'accidentally' by a kind rescue person before ending up in the pound where this person can keep losing and reclaiming her as one time she will likely end up being hit by a car as she is blind on one side. :x
