If anyone is interested in reading some good books on the breed, the cavaliermatters shop has some excellent ones in stock.

The Evelyn Booth book "All about the cavalier King Charles spaniel" is excellent and has a really good chapter or two on the history of the breed.
Sheila Smith and John Evans' books are also worth a read.
One of my recent favourites is Alicia Pennington's Royal Toy spaniels. She's a renowned breeder of King Charles spaniels and her book is well worth having in your collection.
In the New book section, for anyone looking for a comprehensive book on the History and founding of the breed, the Dennis and Tina Homes' book is available at an excellent price.

There are also various publications from cavalier clubs...old yearbooks, book of champions etc..
There are very useful books, and it's nice to have a look at the ancestors behind your dogs.
