Hi, new Cavie owner here!

So we got Tails, our King Charles (that's what I like to call them) 2.5 weeks ago. He's just had his 10th (week) birthday and second vaccination. I seriously cant wait to get him outside for walkies because I know he's just going to love it.

I'm a first time CKCS owner and have been reading this forum obsessively for a few days now.

Oh, my name is James and this is my wife, Lily, with tails!

Oh, my. All these little blenheims look exactly alike and melt my heart. Our Bentley was 10 weeks old when we got him in January, 2011. What a joy!

Very cute! :)

By the way -- just be aware that in the UK especially, the King Charles is a *completely* different breed and would not look at all like your new little one. It may be very confusing to people (including vets who sometimes look for different things on exams) to refer to him as a King Charles when he's actually a cavalier. Kind of like calling a cavalier a cocker spaniel! :)

Seriously cute:)

(I am very fussy and when people stop me to say hello to the dogs and call them King Charles! I always correct them and say Cavalier King Charles, politely of course:) )

Thanks for making me feel so welcome!! Yes, I know about the King Charles Toy Spaniel, and will make sure that there is never any nomenclatural confusion :)

Hi I'm a new cavalier king Charles spaniel puppy owner too (well I think he is a cavelier) lol reading from people's posts I wasn't aware there were two different breeds. I have a little tricolour boy named ropy he is 11 weeks now had him for about 2 and I love him already. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated :) :) xxxxx
