During the day, our two pups spend a number of hours in an outside dog pen. The temperature range has been from the upper 50s F to the upper 80s F. There is a tarpaulin over part of the pen, so they aren't exposed to too much sunlight.
As a general rule, we don't let our Cavs outdoors until the temperate reaches 57 degrees F. Is this reasonable?
As winter is coming on, we are asking what is the lowest temperature Cavs can tolerate, say for an hour? They're hairy little animals, so I'm guessing maybe they could stay outside for an hour or so, if the temperature is in the 40s. They both run around and scrap a lot, so I'm guessing that would keep them warm as well.
Thanks, in advance,
Roy
