Does the name Patches come from only having a little red on that lovely pearly white coat?

I let my hubby pick her name, it comes from a song and the fact I mentioned my aunt's rat terrier named Patchey when I was telling him some names of past dogs I'd known. :) Personally, I wanted to name her Molly :lol:
