    This is such an important subject. I'm delighted to see there is now clear, cite-able, published-study evidence that confrontational, correction-based training using shock collars, alpha rolls, shouting, 'dominance' techniques etc make problem dogs more problematical in a significant number of cases, and make aggressive dogs MORE aggressive.

  2. Twittering about dogs

    Who uses Twitter? It's called a 'microblogging' service (because you can only type a 140-character message) but it is better described I think as a very versatile text messaging service where you can text to, and receive texts from, literally as many people as you'd like, in real time as they are sent. They can arrive and be sent from your mobile, but I have them come to my computer where you can set up a free application like Tweetdeck or Nambu to read, manage, organise into groups, and send texts. ...

  5. Teaching old dogs new tricks

    In this case me. I have an XBox gaming console courtesy of Microsoft to play around with and a stack of games. The intention is to see if MS can persuade me to embrace gaming... .
