I've decided to keep track of my cavaliers' health records here - since we've been working very hard to keep each dog up to date. I'm going to make one post in each dog's name and use this blog as a quick reference.
Last week we took Belle for her usual evening walk but it was a rainy night so by the time we got home we were all filthy, cold and needing baths & showers. We only have Belle 3 weeks this week so last week was her first bath in our house (we didnt want to overwhelm her the minute she arrived). She had a great time, my OH washed her and I blow dried and styled her hair She loved it. Her coat was quite matted so she got a good brush though and looked gorgeous. I have some pictures of the beauty
So we just adopted Belle, a 4 year old Tri female Cavalier. I live with my partner and our 2 little boys (aged nearly 10 and 18 months). We have been having the discussion for ages now about whether to get a dog (not a dog, a cavalier ).
I had kind of nudged the OH away from getting a puppy and we were going to go to the pound to get a rescue dog and I had been building myself up for the trip (I am the biggest sap ever and probably would have tried to take 10
Only 6 days left now til we go to Lanzarote. The boys are staying at Granny Chase's to keep her company as Grandad Chase is off to Australia in 5 days time
Soooo excited - doesn't seem like we have had a proper break for ages
