Jaspar is pooped...
We had agility tonight and he could hardly stand waiting for his turn. He did the course perfectly twice through and was such a good boy -- I think I am going to enter him for a competition Dec 9th. This is fairly terrifying and I wouldn't have much expectation given that I hardly know what I am doing anyway, but I am interested to see how he will do with onlookers and distractions. He just enjoys it so much. I love watching cavaliers go over jumps, with their coats and ears flying!
cl*p Yayyy Jasper and Karlin! Go for it!
Agility is something you just get better and better at. You learn strategy and all kinds of moves like front crosses, rear crosses, etc.
The novice courses are set up so it's easy to do; you may only have 1 front cross.
My main problem is remembering the course. Our trainer helped us to think of the shapes the course makes, rather than the numbers.
There's a really good agility magazine called 'Clean Run' with all kinds of practice drills, etc.
:rah: :rah: :rah: Well done Jaspar :rah: :rah: :rah: - what a clever boy you are - making mum a very proud mummy - Karlin, you must be so pleased :flwr:
Go for it! How fun for both of you! :D
Yay Jaspar! b*n*n* I think you two might surprise yourselves at how well you do in competition, we are pulling for you both. Go Karlin! :*nana:
