I am very sorry for your loss.
May knowing others care, help you through your loss. A friend of mine that has small children made a little scrapbook for each of the kids to have when their dog passed- that way they could look back over all the pictures/memories when they were feeling sad. Just an idea to help your kids during this difficult time.:(
