• If you're a past member of the board, but can't recall your password any more, you don't need to set up a new account (unless you wish to). As long as you recall your old login name, you can log in with that user name then select 'forgot password' and the board will email you at your registration email, to let you reset your password.

Excessive licking

My cav over the last few days keeps licking his left paw, excessively. Not sure why he is doing this, although he did go to the groomers on saturday. Anyone know why he might be doing this? :?
 
It could be a lot of things. Maybe he hurt it; maybe the groomers nicked it or something irritating spilled on his paw, maybe he has allergies, and some dogs are lickers, which may be an obsessive compulsive behaviour. Licking can indicate some pain or discomfort or itchiness and these things could come from different sources. If he keeps doing it, I'd go talk to your vet for an opinion.
