Hi everyone,
Thank you for the kind words, thoughts and good wishes. Riley had his 16 week vaccs. and the vet still hears the murmur. She said it did not sound worse or better, but the same as it did at 10 weeks old. So, at least it is not any worse, but I still wish it had decreased in sound or something.
The vet suggested that if i want another opinion, there is a very good veterinary school in Davis, north of where we live. I felt she was being honest with me and have made an appt. with the vet clinic at Davis. It will be on Apr. 17th. I really hope that the appt. there may give us more insight into whether he has a flow murmur or something more. Our vet thinks they may be able to do a thorough job and give me some answers.
I can't help it, i just can't rest easy until i know if our little Riley is going to have a decent chance at healthy reasonable life. The waiting without any answers is just unbearable for me and my husband. We love our little guy so much, we just want to know if his heart is okay. It's worth checking every avenue for answers, that's just how I feel.
Anyway, i think there is a member on this board from Davis. I have heard really good things about the vet school there, everyone says they are very good and state of the art. So i feel better knowing Riley will be seen by experienced vets that have seen lots of cases.
Thank you everybody, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for our little guy.
